Overview

Gnome-Kan-Do turns dull task tracking into a small pixel-art garden: Sprouting (To-Do), Growing (In Progress), and Harvested (Done). Built for developers, designers, and digital nomads who want accountability without sacrificing focus.

Why it stands out

  • WIP limits & visual cues — grow too big in Growing, and the garden gnome lets you know. Stale tasks pick up vines and mushrooms.
  • Privacy-first — no telemetry; tasks live in chrome.storage.local. Offline-friendly.
  • Plant from the web — highlight text → right-click → Plant Task straight onto the board.
  • Retro aesthetic — 8-bit garden vibe with drag-and-drop via @dnd-kit.

Stack

React, Vite, Chrome extension manifest, @dnd-kit/core, lucide-react, and handcrafted pixel CSS.
