Overview

Gnomad Camping Sounds (Wilderness Mixer) is a browser-based ambience tool: stack outdoor loops, dial each channel independently, and watch a small SVG campsite respond to rain, wind, fire, and night sounds.

Highlights

  • Five-channel mixer — fire, crickets (night), river, rain, and wind with vertical faders
  • Scene presets — one-click mixes for campfire, rainy night, forest stream, and more
  • Sleep timer — auto-pause and mute after 15, 30, or 60 minutes
  • Local persistence — your last mix is saved in the browser; no server or account
  • Playful details — fireflies at night, rain splashes on the tent, raccoon when muted

Stack

React 18, Vite 6, Tailwind CSS, and the Web Audio API via looping <audio> elements with a shared useAudioMixer hook.
